K1 Speed in Torrance California was visited by X Games Gold Medallist, and Number 1 Professional Women’s Motorcross Association rider Ashey Fiolek last week before her X Games competition. Accompanied by her family, she used her motocross skills to take on the challenging concrete racing surface with the same passion that she uses during her motocross racing.
Ashley, who is just 19 years old, developed her love for riding at a young age and there was no stopping her from there. Her racing career began young at the age of 7, and at 16 got the opportunity to meet action sports athlete Travis Pastrana and other professional riders at events she was riding in. She became the 2008 WMA Pro National champion after her first professional win at the WMA Pro National Hangtown. In 2009 she won her first X Games Gold Medal in Women’s Moto X Super X at X Games 15, and she just won her second consecutive X-Games Gold Medal in Super X Women’s on July 31, 2010 at X-Games 16.
Everyone at K1 would like to wish Ashley good luck for the rest of her racing season and we look forward to seeing her back our way again the next time she is in town.
