Rock 105.3 hosts the morning Mikey show at K1 Speed, Carlsbad. Fans from all over San Diego joined us bright early to watch the Mikey show hosts battle it out on the track for fastest times. the “K1 Kickers”, will start their first season together at the Orange Indoor Sports Arena this month. The team is made up of Irvine and Anaheim K1 employees and a few family members. The team has some experienced and inexperienced players but they should have a great season. The K1 Kickers were founded to bring team work and unity from employees working in different K1 locations. We wish them the best of luck this season.

K1 Speed’s first Survivor Race was held at the Anaheim facility on Feb 28th, it was a great turn-out with over 50 racers attending this first for K1. The CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT was: Groups of 12 racers, each group races a Grand Prix format race: 12 Lap Practise, 14 Lap Qualifying, 16 Lap Race. Top 5 of each group advance to Final. Top 12 racers advance to the Championship Final. Congratulations to Toby Rodriguez, the over all Champion winning the fantastic drifting helmet shown. Stay tuned for dates of the next chamionship.
