K1 Speed April milestones
K1 Speed Blog - go karts, karting and go-kart race events
K1 Speed had milestones set the second week of April, as long time customer Emilio Garcia drove in his 2000th race with K1 Speed, at our Anaheim location in the heart of Orange County. Emilio has been racing at K1 for over 6 years, and is a regular competitor at our monthly Challenge GP events at various locations. From 2004 to 2008 he sat at the top of the K1 Pro Score as the number one driver, and is currently battling it out for the top spot with our new K1 Racing Score system. Emilio attested to his success to K1′s top notch staff and awesome management and went on to say “K1 Speed offers the best indoor kart racing by far, its professional management, and great staff have kept me coming back time and time again over the years and I have never been disappointed.”
A day after Emilio participated in his 2000th race, Jon Simms would become the first driver to break the K1 Racing Score 5000 point barrier. Jon is also a regular at our Challenge GP events and is battling with Emilio for the number one spot as the overall points champion, as both have now reached over 5000 points with their K1RS score, after competing together in the Challenge GP at the K1 Carlsbad location this past weekend. Jon who is always in good spirits, went on to say “Ive always enjoyed the K1 Speed experience, and the competition among participants. This is great fun for all, and I want to thank all of the staff at each location for their professionalism every time I come in to race.”
K1 would like to Congratulate to both drivers and their recent achievement’s, both Jon and Emilio bring a great competitive spirit to K1 Speed, and are very helpful in teaching other drivers the fast line around any of the tracks K1 Speed has to offer. We are just into the month of April and with more than half a year left, the overall points leader could change at any time – will it be you?
