K1 Speed and Bergenholtz Racing Join Forces!
Bergenholtz Racing, a name that for many motorsports fans and people in the racing industry needs no introduction, has just partnered up with K1 Speed! Ed and Ron Bergenholtz, the founders of Bergenholtz Racing, are big fans of K1 Speed and the sport of indoor karting, and they were very excited about the opportunity to work directly with the largest indoor karting company in the country. It can be said that the feeling at K1 Speed was mutual, as Bergenholtz Racing has a well-earned reputation in the racing community!
The team made a name for itself in the late 90s as one of the pioneers in import drag racing and has since gone on to explore the world of drifting (Ron and Ed are currently campaigning a Mazda RX-8 drift car in the Formula Drift series). When the opportunity presented itself to form a partnership, both parties were eager to take part. The team will be distributing K1 company flyers and coupons at future events as well as displaying K1 Speed branding on the official Formula D racecar, and in turn, team driver Justin Pawlak, Ron and Ed will be able to hone their skills and maintain their reaction time and pedal work at our indoor karting centers – needless to say, everyone at K1 Speed is looking forward to the partnership!

Bergenholtz Racing - Pioneers in the Import Racing Industry
Upon confirmation of the deal, team founder Ron Bergenholtz stated, “We are very excited to work with K1 Speed. The skills that can be acquired from K1 karting will help make our drivers even better. Our Formula D pilot, Justin Pawlak loves it. He will be able to hone his driving skills weekly. This in turn will make him quite a force to be reckoned with on the Formula Drift Circuit as well as Time- Attack opportunities. We felt it was extremely important for our drivers as well as our crew members to constantly be involved in some type of racing without having to take our actual Mazdas on the track. K1 Speed is so instrumental and valuable in increasing our chances to win on race day. Bergenholtz Racing aims to do whatever it takes to win for our marketing partners. We are truly thankful to K1 Speed for this great opportunity!”
