With the K1 Speed Junior and Teen Challenge GP race league under way for the second half of 2011, K1 Speed’s San Diego location is one of the hosting facilities in the Southern California Region giving younger racers the chance to compete in competitive kart racing. The well known Carlsbad facility has one of the faster track designs which drivers really enjoy as they turn a fast lap or two in the electric race karts.
This past Tuesday evening, a number of young drivers participated in the popular series, as the field of Jr. drivers (4′-4’10″) would be in attendance and being the main show for the night.
