The second round of the Challenge GP series is rounding the corner to the half way point for the 6 month race for the chase to the championship. Double qualifying rounds stayed smooth and consistent as drivers have started to get used to the reverse Super-Track layout and become accustomed to where the fast line is and what it takes to post a fast lap. After a dominating performance at K1 Speed in Torrance, Robby Stanovich made an appearance for this GP, and ran away from the pack taking the top qualifier position with a single lap time of 41.986 seconds to take the pole position for the A Main.
B main competitors would start off the main event rounds for the night, with a number of new faces taking to the track. In a clean race with 0 incidents Ernie Fixmer would be the the driver to catch, as he was able to get out to the front early and pull away from everyone in tow. Jason Foreman and Zachary Schwendenman would make a hard charge for the front but were unable to catch Ernie and would finish in 2nd and 3rd to round out the top three on the podium.
