K1 Speed partner Boris Said will be competing this weekend in the Dunlop 24 hours of Dubai, with team mates Bill Auberlen, Joey Hand, and Paul Dalla Lana. They will be piloting a Z4 GT3 prepped by Schubert Motorsport of Germany, with other GT and touring cars through January 14-15.
Team boss Boris Said mentioned in a recent interview: “This is my first visit to Dubai and all I can say is that this is an amazing place. You have to come here to believe it. Hospitable people, amazing buildings and a real honour to be racing at Dubai Autodrome this weekend.”
With over 400 drivers in attendance at this year’s sixth running of the endurance race in Dubai, it will be the biggest one yet – with a full grid of 90 teams from 19 different countries. Porsche has the largest presence of cars with 20 in attendance, followed by BMW with 15, Renault with 9, and SEAT with 8. Other cars on the grid include Mosler, Gomez Competition, Brokernet, Ford, Corvette, Audi, Ginetta, Aston Martin, Lotus, Donkervoort, Saker, Opel, Honda, Mini and Volkswagen to make up the rest of the field.
Everyone at K1 would like to wish Boris and the rest of the team good luck this weekend in Dubai!
