Hans Malzar was able to snag the number one qualifier position for round 3 of the K1 Speed Seattle Challenge GP, and after taking the green flag lead the field into turn one followed closely by Dana Glenn, Jayce Glenn, Adrian Corona and Garret White in 5th.
Through the infield and on to the back stretch it was Malzar still holding on to the number one spot with The Dude latched to his bumper. Behind them younger brother Jayce and Corona were side by side for the number 3 spot, with Corona hanging tough on the outside for the completion of lap one. Corona would hold the position for the next few laps while the front two began to put on a clinic and pull away from the field. Jayce however, decided it was go time and on lap 7 made quick work of Corona with a solid run down the back stretch, making the pass and taking over 3rd spot. Corona immediately came under fire from Garrett White who was finding his rhythm and picking up the pace at the halfway point. Corona however, responded to the pressure from White and began to set some seriously fast lap times and close back in on Jayce Glenn in the closing laps. Meanwhile, back at the front The Dude was absolutely flying, showing no signs of weakness after coming from a 2nd place starting spot he made his first and lass pass of the night on Malzar going down the straight at around the halfway point. Malzar held strong though and used his head to once again gain valuable points in the championship. In the end it was Dana “The Dude” Glenn taking yet another win, followed in second by Hans Malzar, Jayce Glenn, Adrian Corona and Garrett White in 5th. Malzar is showing some blazing speed lately in qualifying, and with his methodical driving and finishes, he is now tied for 2nd place in the standings with RJ Napitupulu. Look for him to keep improving in the coming rounds, a win could definitely be in the cards for Malzar. Jayce Glenn is now tied for 3rd, and Adrian Corona also moved up 2 spots in the points at the end of the night. Things are getting interesting!
