K1 Speed in Hollywood Floria hosted the second round of its Challenge GP race series earlier in the month to another very large number of drivers that all battled it out for the top podium spots in the mains. Qualifying remained clean as drivers all worked to find the quick way around the unique concrete surfaced Super-Track layout, to lay down a fast lap to get the bonus points from a top qualifying time. Jean Hoy would show everyone her driving skills early in qualifying and would go unchallenged by laying down a 44.171 second lap time to take the top qualifying position for the A-Main later in the night.
The C-Main drivers would be out on track first with an a smooth bit of driving done by all. The green flag rolling start would see Alejandro Simon take the early lead from the pole position and lead the field into turn one. Everyone would come out without incident and it was a race to the finish as drivers all raced hard to make position changes throughout the race. Once the checkered flag came out Alejandro had put himself into a comfortable lead to take the win followed by Jeff Osgood in second and Kevin Phillips would round out the top three on the podium.
Next out on track was the B-Main drivers with a bit more action in this one with a lot more passing going on mid field for position. Mid way through the race Esteban Ferrara would try to make an aggressive inside move and ended up getting pinched into a corner and dropping back to the back of the field, which he was unable to recover from and make up position losses. The checkered flag came out and Robert Munoz would be in the right position to take the win, with Christopher Garcia in second followed by Christian Vanvurst in third.
A-Main race action closed out the night with over all pole setter Jean Hoy leading the field for the green flag rolling start. Jean would make a run early on and get out into clean air and put a good cushion between her and the rest of the field. Second place qualifier Jason Drescher would follow suit, driving very defensively to hold off third and fourth place drivers Micheal Apuzzo and Pedro Lopez, who were looking to find a way around Drescher and move up a few positions in the pack. Jean would go on to take the win with Jason holding in second. Michael held on to third to close out the night with the rest of the field following closely behind.
