K1 Speed in South Florida hosted another packed Challenge GP Race series night this past Sunday with 50+ drivers in attendance all looking to make a run at the podium. Indoor kart racing is huge in the South East and K1 Speed in Hollywood, Florida is the place to be for serious competition. Taking the overall pole was Jean Hoy with a great performance and out qualifying everyone with a stellar performance.
Main events were all action packed as spectators got a great show all night with multiple new drivers mixed in with some of the veterans. Davis Yahn would be the D-Main winner, with his best lap coming in at 45.264 seconds. The C-main winner would be Kevin Philips who held off a hard charging group in the main, his quickest lap in the main was a solid 45.590 seconds. B-Main race winner would be Alvaro Tarazona setting a fast lap of 46.726 seconds on the concrete surfaced layout. Jean Hoy would go on to take the win in the A-Main to finish out the nigh on a high note after winning the overall pole position and earning an additional 2 points in the overall points chase.
Drivers from all over come out for the best in indoor kart racing competition with K1 Speed in South Florida, just 20 minutes south of Fort Lauderdale, and about 15 minutes north of Hollywood – the best in the South East come to K1 Speed for the quickest in indoor kart racing action.
