Members of Forever The Sickest Kids at K1 Speed Irvine

08 June 2011

K1 Speed in Irvine, California – right in the heart of The OC was visited by members of the alternative rock band – Forever the Sickest Kids this week for some fast laps with our indoor electric racing karts. Members Jonathan Cook – lead vocals, Austin Bello – Bass/Vocals and Caleb Turman – Guitar/Vocals, took to our challenging course layouts, much like they take to the stage – and finished out their evening with big smiles on their faces.

Recently, their most recent forthcoming self-titled sophomore album almost happened by chance. The Texas five-some, who have toured with bands like All Time Low, Good Charlotte, Boys Like Girls, Third Eye Blind, 3OH!3, released their much-loved debut Underdog Alma Mater in April of 2008, following its success in November of 2009 with the release of their mini-LP, The Weekend: Friday. While in the studio with producer David Bendeth in early 2010, the band realized that the songs were just too good for another mini-LP.

“We felt like the music took such advancement for the better that we wanted to put it out on a full-length album,” said Jonathan.

Everyone at K1 would like to wish Forever the Sickest Kids good luck in their future music career’s, and we look forward to seeing them back again.
