track 1 011213 Round 2 – Supercross Series 2013 – Phoenix
450 Main – Justin Barcia wins it! Ryan Villopoto takes second! Davi Millsaps third. Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart ended the night in seventh followed by Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey in eighth. Dungey had a difficult night, getting off the start in 16th. He was able to charge through much of the pack, but time ran out before he could make up enough time to earn a top-five finish. Ryan still has his sights on this week’s race at A2 with a podium finish last time he was in Anaheim. Ryan sits atop the standings in 5th place, 33 points.

250 Main – Eli Tomac was out front and cruising. The defending 250 West Champion won in consecutive races! Second place goes to Kenny Roczen – as he got past Martin Davalos! Davalos finishes third! Ken sits atop the standings in 2nd place, 44 points.

Ken Roczen said “I messed up on the start, although a pretty good race overall. I’m happy – but if you want to win the championship you can’t make little mistakes like I did at the start. I want to thank the fans for coming out, and look forward to seeing you all next week in Anaheim!”

Dungey Podium Ryan Dungey makes the podium at Supercross Anaheim 1
What a great to start to the 2013 Supercross season at Angels Stadium. Ryan Dungey (Red Bull/KTM) recovered from a small, late race crash to move past Justin Barcia who was in third. Barcia appeared confident in podium position through the early laps, but late in the contest he too went down. Prior to Barcia’s trouble Dungey had struggled to find a line past the premier-class rookie, but took full advantage once Bam Bam went down for the final step on the rostrum.

“I am excited to get on the podium at this race,” remarked Dungey. “It is a long series and it is good to get a podium finish at the first round to get us off on a right start. Last year, we had a great race at the second round of the series and I am looking forward to going to Phoenix next week and hopefully moving up on the podium.”

K1 Speed is proud to offer all-electric indoor go-kart racing in Sacramento! Whether you attend UC Davis or live in the communities of Roseville or Citrus Heights, our indoor karting center is the destination in the Golden State capital. In addition to our track, our Sacramento center features a museum-quality collection of authentic racing memorabilia, including signed race apparel, full-size racecars, and collectible artwork. When not perusing through our collection, guests can relax in our spacious lobby, purchase snacks and refreshments at our Pit Café snack bar, play video games in-between races, or stay abreast of the on-track action with our plasma screen televisions, which display live telemetry from each race. Our aim is for our guests to have almost as much fun off of the track as they do on. The real reason to visit K1 Speed, however, is the racing. Take everything you know about go-karts and throw it out the window – if you haven’t raced the high-performance electric karts at K1 Speed, you haven’t gone go-kart racing. Our center is open seven days a week and we invite you to come in to K1 Speed Sacramento today! There’s never a bad time to experience indoor go-kart racing!

Following a critically acclaimed launch in Australia and New Zealand, the US tour of DREAMWORKS’ HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON LIVE SPECTACULAR has added additional stops, including a January 17-20 run at Honda Center.

Created by the studio that brought us blockbuster hits such as Shrek and Madagascar, the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON LIVE SPECTACULAR was produced by the storytellers at DreamWorks Animation, and Global Creatures, the masterminds behind the international phenomenon Walking with Dinosaurs, the #1 grossing world tour of 2010.

Inspired by the hit movie How To Train Your Dragon, this live event is a never-before-seen production that audiences of all ages will never forget. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON LIVE SPECTACULAR features more than a dozen dragons, some with wingspans of up to 46 feet! The show also features Viking warriors and world-class circus artists and acrobats, all combined with a heartwarming story that truly delivers a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the entire family.

Fire-breathing action, epic adventure and heartfelt laughter come together in a captivating story set in the mythical world of Vikings and wild dragons. Based on the book by Cressida Cowell, it centers on Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON LIVE SPECTACULAR breaks every rule of theatrical entertainment to fully immerse audiences into the show in ways that have not been attempted before. Barely contained within the arena, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON LIVE SPECTACULAR utilizes the full venue, maximizing every dimension of the performance space to transport audiences into a mythical world of fire-breathing dragons who soar overhead at great speeds. The state-of-the-art animatronic technology and large-scale cinematic projections interact seamlessly with the live actors, who bring DreamWorks Animation’s heart-warming story to life through theatrical storytelling, martial arts and acrobatics.
