K1 Speed Austin Challenge GP 4 Results
The Main event was plain fast tonight. It was the best race of the GP Challenge to date. All but one of the racers posted best laps in the 26 second range. Nobody could catch Ignacio Martinez again for his 3rd straight Main Event win. In the qualifying rounds Ignacio set the track record again with a 25.878. 2nd place went to Jason Young for a 2nd straight week and Brian Medieros rounded out the top 3.
The B Main was fun to watch. Sean Gossett held of hard charging new comer Brandon Pond and the youngest racer in the GP Challenge Josh Munroe to win the race. It was a pretty even field from top to bottom and it proved to be pretty entertaining racing.
The C Main was full of 1st time to the GP Challenge racers and full of excitement. Chris Harwood took 1st place followed by Jake Young and Gerald Henderson respectively. They just keep getting better and better. Next months GP will be raced in reverse direction so get ready!!!

K1 Speed Austin Challenge GP Results
The A Main was FAST!! Racing the track opposite direction did not slow anyone down this night. Track record holder, Ignacio Martinez, almost set it again by putting up 26.3 lap after lap to go on and win for the second straight time. Jason Young has improved week after week and finished 2nd this week. Rounding out the top 3 was Matt Hammock.
The B Main was the most interesting race of the night. It was full of excitting racing and and had a top 3 that consisted of father and son, current #6 in the K1RS Overall points and a former top 12. Hunter Hughes held of the father son duo of Donald Munroe and Bray Munroe to win the B Main and show why he was in the top 12 K1RS Overall. Donald Munroe , who is ranked #6 overall could’nt quite catch the leader and had his hands full holding his hard charging son, Bray Munroe who recovered from a bad start and climed from last to 3rd.
Newcomer Perry Pham bested a strong and experienced C Main field to win his first medal of the season. Chase Williamson and Darrin Wicken had a strong race and avoided some wrecks to take home 2nd and 3rd respectively. It was another great turnout and expect the Oct 7th event to be even bigger with all the hype going about the F1 event coming soon! See y’all then.

Season Points leader Donald Munroe finished 4th.
The B Main had a lot of good racing from the start to the finish. Newcomer to the GP Challenge Jason Young held off Matt Hammock and a charging Phil Hammel to win and receive 36 points in the overall standings.
The C Main was full of excittement and everyone was wondering how these guys didn’t put up faster qualifier times after watching this one. The top 3 finishers were Brian Gilbert, Dale Daugherty and Chase Williamson. GP # 2 was bigger and faster than the last. We expect the momentum to keep on going.
