Junior League 2 K1 Speed Carlsbad Jr. League GP 4 Results
Last night’s event included all of our usual Jr. drivers and a couple of new faces. Landon Southwell was able to secure pole position with his qualifying laptime of 31.01. Although the rolling start started as one of the best we have seen, it was soon stunted by a spin out in the 2nd turn of lap 1. Unfortunately Brayden Stansel was affected most by this when his spin out sent him from 2nd place all the way to the back of the pack. During this confusion and while most drivers were attempting to stay out of the mix, Carlee Weber was able to take advantage of the situation by ducking and dodging her way from 8th place all the way up to the number 2 spot which she held for the remainder of the race. Landon was able to keep ahead of the rest of the pack for the entire race where he kept and help 1st place for this final event. The rest of the drivers moved up or sown about 1 place from where they started. After tonight’s race it will be an exciting finish to the season to see where everyone stands in points for our last event of this season.

Carlsbad Challenge Grand Prix event number five is in the books. The single file rolling start to this race was a sight to be seen and was near flawlessly done by all 13 racers. And the start surely set the tone for the remainder of the race. Kc Cook quickly pulled away from the pack, but the battling went on for the remaining two podium spots and in the end it was Kc Cook on top, Brandon Walsh in second, and Charles Eichlin rounding out the podium in third.

Junior League 2 K1 Speed Carlsbad Jr. League GP 2 Results
We had a record turnout for the Jr. League so for this season with 14 drivers which created 2 groups. The Southwell brothers started in a the #1 and #2 spots for the beginning of the race but it did not last. An early spin out caused Davis to fall to the back of the pack for the remainder of the race while his brother, Landon was able to secure his spot in 2nd place by only dropping back 1 position from where he started. Brayden Stansel made a good showing by climbing 5 spots and eventually making his way to 1st place.

The B-Main race remained steady with not many position changes besides the top 3 drivers. Nolan Agresti, who had claimed pole position for the start of the race based on his qualifying lap time was passed by our 2nd and 3rd place drivers early on in the race which left him finishing in 3rd. Mathias Lebrun and Gavin Solarez both claimed #1 spot putting them in 1st and 2nd place. The rest of the racers started and finished in exactly the same order.
