K1 Speed Irvine Challenge GP 3 Results
A Main: And the top spot in this months GP Season Premier goes to Spencer Mayeda. Spencer recorded the fasted qulifying time of 44.262. With Nicholas Haye and Cody Phillips taking 2nd and 3rd place to round out the podium standings. A very new line up which is always great to see on the podium. Further back in the group a dog-fight for 5th, 6th and 7th went down to the wire with nose to tail racing to the end. We look forward to seeing them all in our next event.
B Main: John Tanaka to a commanding lead at the start of the race. However, Justin Bosecker and Nicholas Rebeli weren’t going to let John take first place with out a fight. As the group spread out in the race field the first place podium was going to be decided if Justin or Nicholas would be able to catch up to John. With three laps left in the race it looked as if Justin was going to have a chance to make a charage on capturing first place, but in the end with a bump from 3rd place finisher Nicholas, Justin would have to settle for 2nd place. A fun race to watch.
C Main: Joe Xie, Steve Butsher, and Jacob Romano demonstrated excellence under pressure. Not as seasoned as some of our other drivers, they are on the pursuit to that A main arena. With some hard throttling and some last minute braking, these 3 warped around the track at light speed. A Very new line up which is always great to see on the podium. We look forward to seeing them next round for the next challenge.
D Main: Our D-Main race introduced us to a new-comer Christian Steele. A fast and young racer with lots of potential, Christian took first place. With Aj Cook and Chris Hanson taking 2nd and 3rd. Once again, a very new line up which is always great to see on the podium. We look forward to see these new faces again.

2012 Red Bull Kart Fight at K1 Speed!
Red Bull is calling the best amateur kart drivers to test their skills for a chance to win a trip to the Formula 1 Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, TX. Anyone between the ages of 13 and 35 can participate and could have the opportunity to defend the national colors at the world final.
The Red Bull Kart Fight SoCal qualifiers will be held at any of K1 Speed Southern California locations on these days:
Qualifying Sessions
August 29 — 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
September 5 — 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
September 12 — 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
September 19 — 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Participants pay the standard track fees with their lap times recorded by K1 Speed. The drivers who post the quickest lap times during the qualifying sessions will be invited to compete in the semi-finals on September 26 at the Anaheim location. The top three drivers from the semi-finals will be flown to Austin to compete in the National Final.
