Travis Pastrana was rudely sent out of the X Games last summer when Andy Scott shunted him from behind during a qualifying round for the RallyCross event. Until that moment, the world had been looking forward to a meeting between Travis and eight-time (and soon to be nine-time) World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb, whose Citroen WRC team had specially shipped a car from France.
Now in a new episode of the YouTube series, ‘On Pace With Pastrana,’ we get to see the X Games as Travis experienced it. In part one below, Travis meets his idol, Loeb, and the two go head-to-head in go-karts at K1 Speed Torrance. Afterward, Travis and wife Lyn-Z take in the Moto X Step-Up and Best Trick competitions. Check it out…

Michael started from the pole and took a slight lead. Ayden made a move early on the third lap to pass Jaydon and soon was right behind Michael. Ayden passed Micheal for the lead and Jovy was right behind them. Ayden lengthened his lead while Jovy was right on Micheal’s bumper trying to pass. Ayden started up front but was bumped in turn 9 on first lap by Hayden. Hayden took lead and never looked back. There was bumping throughout the race making many changes in position. Peyton made his way through the field to finish second with Ayden finishing 3rd.
Peyton lead everyone around on lap 1. Right at Start/Finish in turn 1 Micheal was bumped by the pack and was sent 4 spots back. By the third lap Ayden made his way up to the front with Hayden following close behind. Peyton and Jovy ran bumper to bumper for most of the race with Peyton holding on to third. Ayden lead to the finish with Hayden finishing 2nd 2 kart lengths behind.
Another fantastic finish at K1 Speed Santa Clara for the Challenge GP. Racing was good and clean. Ray Martin started 1st pace and finished in 1st holding the lead for the entire race. James Martinez dropped back from 2nd to 3rd. Jonathan Sarceda came from 7th to 2nd.
Look for the second GP Challenge of the season to be even better August 5th!
K1 Speed in Santa Clara, California held its final round of their Challenge GP Race Series this past Sunday, with a full house of drivers all after a podium finish and a number of drivers after the points championship. Double qualifying rounds would see Jonathan Sarceda grab the pole position with a single lap time of 22.790 seconds, setting the pace for the rest of the field who would fall in just a few tenths off his pace.
The nights main would be an intense race with Jonathan leading the field into turn one with Ryan Cougill and Geon McKenzie giving chase and immediately putting pressure on the lead positions. Unfortunately Ryan and Geon would get into each other in a corner battling for second and both drivers would drop out of the top three. Tat gave Scott Levin and Rick Kane a chance to jump up from their fourth and fifth place starting positions, with Scott taking over second and Rich into third. Ryan Cougill would work his way back into fourth to finish out his night with Geon down in seventh. The rest of the field would shuffle around a bit but no other drivers were able to catch up to the leaders. The checkered flag would come out and Jonathan Sarceda would go on for the win with Scott Levin taking second and Ryan Cougill rounding out the top three.
The overall championship would be determined by this final round of racing and Ryan Cougill would end up taking the overall win for the series with Rick Kane in second and Nelson Rosa would take third in the overall standings. Congratulations to our winners and be on the look out for the schedule to be posted for the second half of the season which will include new track layout for most locations and the addition of the Austin, Texas and the league will also be returning back to our Seattle Washington location as well!
