Hot Wheels™ IndyCar Junior Grand Prix Coming to Arlington!
Last Thursday we hosted our first Hot Wheels™ IndyCar Junior Grand Prix qualifying round at our Indy location, and it was a blast! A fantastic group of talented junior racers (including the offspring of IndyCar racers Dan Wheldon and Ed Carpenter) were in house to prove their karting mettle for a chance at winning an all-expense paid trip to California in September. In the end, three gifted juniors earned a spot as a finalist for the championship race in San Francisco to be mentored by James Hinchcliffe and will attend the IndyCar season finale at Sonoma Raceway!
Now it’s time for Texas to play! We’re hosting the next qualifying round at our center in Arlington to see who the fastest three junior racers are from the Lone Star state. The three finalists from this round will receive the same all-expense paid trip to California, but will have 2017 IndyCar Series Champion Josef Newgarden as their mentor prior to the championship race in San Francisco – a once in a lifetime opportunity!
The qualifying round takes place on Thursday, June 7th at 4:30pm, days before the IndyCar race at Texas Motor Speedway. If you think you know a child who has the right stuff, get them signed up by either visiting the location or calling the center at (817) 500-5095. It only costs $50 to enter the competition, and every child will have at least a 1 in 20 chance of walking away with the prize package worth $5,000.
Be sure to sign your child up for this event sooner rather than later – spaces are limited and are already selling quick!
