Introducing the new K1RS scoring system
25 March 2010
K1 Speeds indoor kart racing centers have updated their scoring systems at all 6 locations. This brand new scoring system combines the previous scoring methods, to create a better way for racers to compete for the top spot in over-all points. Each new driver will be starting out with 1200 points and will be awarded with 2 points for each race they compete in, and 2 points for each driver they beat in that race. On top of that we are now awarding drivers for their driving performance, by awarding the driver with the quickest lap time with 2 points, and awarding the driver with the fastest lap average an additional 2 points. The more drivers in a race, the more potential there are to earn points! This new K1RS system will also bring a few surprises from K1 Speed in the future. Drivers will also be able to view their current K1RS Score live right on the k1speed.com website.
