K1 Speed Lyon in France Now Open!

K1 Speed France Now Open

When we opened 15 years ago, our desire was to make our authentic racing experience accessible to racers around the world. Since then, we’ve gone from our Carlsbad location to over 30 centers in the United States, and more in countries around the world. And now, we’re happy to announce that K1 Speed is officially in Europe!

K1 Speed Lyon in France marks our debut in the continent, and we cannot wait to share our racing experience with Europeans at this location. France also becomes the sixth country to take advantage of K1 Speed’s tremendously successful International Franchise program.

The 60,0000-sq. ft. center is located in Genas, just 15 minutes from downtown Lyon and less than 10 minutes away from Eurexpo and the Lyon Olympic Stadium (Groupama Stadium), where the Olympique Lyonnais soccer team calls home.

Visitors there will be racing our all-electric EFD Storm Karts and the latest Junior karts. Racers who are either disabled or younger than seven can ride along with an adult in the two-seater electric kart – making this center of ours what they call a “bi-place” karting center.

When not racing on the track, racers can try their hand at racing simulators and play billiards. Like our stateside K1 Speed centers, there’s an onsite snack bar to satisfy appetites and quench thirsts.

We’ve become one of the most popular entertainment destinations for birthday parties, corporate functions, and company events, and this location will not be any different. The center has a total of three private meeting rooms: two will have capacity for 20 people, while another will have capacity for 50 people.

“It has been a dream of mine to open a K1 Speed where grand prix racing began,” says our CEO. “We’re so proud that this Lyon location will be Europe’s first taste of the K1 Speed experience that so many racers – both professional and amateur alike – have loved for the last 15 years.”

And we’re not stopping with Lyon when it comes to racing in Europe. K1 Speed Monza in Italy is coming early 2019, so stay tuned for more!

Charles, while we don’t have one in the works yet, it’s certainly something we’re interested in! Know someone interested in opening a German location? Share our International Franchise information with them!
