Race the Cops in San Francisco for a Great Cause!

flyer depicting beat the heat event at k1 speed san francisco with the south san francisco police department cruiser

Ever seen a police chase and thought you could do better than the cops? Then visit our South San Francisco center on for “Beat the Heat” on Wednesday, July 17th from 6pm to 9pm! During this special event, you’ll be able to prove your driving skills against officers of the South San Francisco Police Department (SSFPD)!

Join the SSFPD’s Explorer Post and K-9 unit for a chance to compete with officers on the track, while simultaneously raising money for the Explorer Post.

The Explorer Post is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America and provides opportunities to 14-21 year olds interested in future law enforcement careers. The Post is exclusively funded through fundraisers such as these, and helps underprivileged kids with college scholarships, uniforms, equipment, and field trips they otherwise couldn’t afford. A percentage of proceeds from this event will be donated to the Explorer Post to continue their great work.

Be sure to PRINT OUT A COPY OF THE FLYER you see above (click “file” from your browser, then print), and bring it in with you to the event. This ensures that proceeds from your races will be donated to the cause.

This is a brilliant idea to bring community and police together. This is also brilliant to encourage young kids that a career in policing is more than just driving around and carrying a gun, rather it’s really to keep the community safe, help victims of crime and advocate for communities. Great work!
