A Go Karting Experience Like No Other!

K1 Speed, the world’s largest indoor go karting company with 100+ locations, is coming soon to Star City in Birmingham! Here are just some of the exciting offerings in store when our doors open.

Fast Electric Go-Karts From Italy

K1 Speed uses the fastest electric indoor karts from Italian kart manufacturer OTL. We’ll have two kinds of these state-of-the-art karts available: the Superleggero and Junior Kart.

The OTL Superleggero

The Superleggero is the fastest of our two go-karts and suitable for racers 14+ who are at least 145 cm tall. These pocket-rockets can speed up to 45 miles per hour, and thanks to their electric motors, can out-accelerate most petrol-powered karts. Plus, they’re nimble, feature paddle shifters, a dash-mounted display with a tachometer and gear selection, and a modern formula-inspired steering wheel.

The OTL Junior Kart

Our OTL Junior Karts serves as a perfect introduction to racing for children 7-13 years old who are at least 125 cm tall. These spritely vehicles can reach speeds of up to 20 miles per hour. This will no doubt be the most exciting go-kart they’ve ever driven!

An Exciting Multi-Level Karting Track

Of course, go-karts are nothing without a track, and we’ve got an exciting multi-level track that’s been professionally designed for your enjoyment.

Both experienced racers and first-time drivers alike will love the thrill of our exciting elevation changes, our 180-degree hairpin corners, and fast sweeping turns that this track layout features.

Full-Motion Simulators

The thrill of racing doesn’t stop when the chequered flag flies at K1 Speed Birmingham. Off the track, we’ll have a row of full-motion racing simulators that’ll let you virtually get behind the wheel of a formula-style racer or GT3 car on some of the most famous circuits in the world. These incredible machines get you close to feeling every g-force, bump, and slip of traction that you’d expect in real life.

Recharge at the Paddock Lounge

Racing is a physical activity, and you’ll likely develop an appetite after hitting the track – both in real life and virtually. So when your batteries begin to run down, you’ll want to make a pitstop at our Paddock Lounge to recharge.

Our Paddock Lounge is a sophisticated gastropub-inspired café. The menu will feature a wide variety of delicious food items alongside a full selection of beverages, including alcohol for adults who have finished racing for the day.
