Race Class - Go Kart Racing Class

Our go kart classes - we offer a race class for beginners and a racing class for advanced competitors - are a great way to learn more about karting and motorsport. If you would like to get involved with the sport of karting or are interested in improving your lap times with more advanced racing techniques, we would be happy to help. Karting is our passion at K1 Speed, and we are intimately familiar with the workings of our 20hp electric karts and the ins-and-outs of proper racing technique. We have created two unique go kart classes that are guaranteed to improve your lap times. Our introductory race class provides insight on the fundamentals of karting whereas our advanced racing class is specifically designed to help regular competitors improve their time.

The Introductory Race Class is $100 and includes:

• Three races run at different times throughout the class so that you can demonstrate your progress
• A walk-thru of the track with explanations on the different types of turns and how you should enter and exit them
• Classroom discussion on apexes, throttle and braking points, weight transfer, proper passing techniques, racing etiquette and sportsmanship
• Q&A session before the final race to discuss any specific problem areas you may be having
• Awards ceremony for the best racers of the day

We feel that our introductory race class is a great way to become involved in the sport of go kart racing. If you have always wanted to become involved in karting but were unsure as to what steps you should take, our go kart racing class is a great starting point!

The Advanced Techniques Racing Class is $135 and includes:

• Four races run at different times throughout the class
• Track walk with emphasis on apexes, braking points and trouble areas
• Classroom discussion on lead and following techniques, weight transfer, passing, bump drafting, braking and throttle inputs
• Review of Offensive and Defensive driving strategies
• Explanation on the mental aspect of racing and learning how to assess the competition
• Q&A before the final race
• Awards ceremony

Our advanced techniques course is designed for individuals who are looking for that elusive half of a second or so that separates them from the front-runners. If you have completed our advanced racing class and are still interested in taking your racing experience to the next level however, then we can help you become a go kart racer. We sell CRG karts as well as a full line of karting gear to meet the needs of our customers who would like to apply the skills they have learned at K1 Speed on an outdoor track.
