K1 Speed Ontario Challenge GP 5 2K13 – Season 1

Another great turnout for the Ontario Supertrack Challenge GP Sunday night, with 15 participants! Round 5 of the 6 race season is turning out to be a great battle for the top position between Bryce Raygor and Robert Hernandez. Qualifying had some new faces showing their strength on the Supertrack, but after both qualifying rounds were complete, Robert Hernandez was able to pull off the best lap, with a 47.019.
The A Main started with the championship leader, Bryce Raygor, starting in 9th, ready to try and pick up as many points as possible to keep his championship lead. Robert Hernandez took the green flag and was able to grab a healthy lead from the start. There were a lot of close battles from 6th on back, with positions swapping multiple times per lap. Robert was able to comfortably take the win in Ontario last night, with Tyler Walker finishing second, Christopher Morales in third, John Carroll in fourth, and Wilmer Valentin in fifth.
The championship battle was even closer after round 5, with Robert taking the lead by 6 points with only one race remaining. The next GP in Ontario should be a nail biter as we close the season out. Look forward to seeing a great turnout for the round 6 on June 2nd.
K1 Speed Torrance Challenge GP 5 2K13 – Season 1

Torrance’s Challenge GP show-cased some great driving by some talented racers. We start off with Austin Farr taking the pole with his best qualifing lap of 26.808 sec. Right behind Austin in the race field was Craig Robertson and Puneet Khattar. At the beginning of the first couple of laps Craig tried to position himself to take a shoot at passing first place leader Austin. His risky moving on turn 5 put him into the wall and the race field passed him by. Austin continued to stretch out his lead and took a commanding 1st place win. Puneet and Andrew Buckler made up second and third place.

K1 Speed Torrance Challenge GP 3 2K13 – Season 1

Sunday’s main event was filled with suspense, excitement, and a high level of competitive racing. Most notable between Craig Robertson and Timothy Tran. Timothy Tran grabbed the pole position with his fast lap of 27.108. However, after a second re-start because of some confusion on the part of Timothy’s mis-understanding of what a rolling start means. Second place Craig was able to take advantage of Timothy’s over cautiousness and blow right by him at the start of the race and took a commanding lead and finished first in tonights race. Second and third place went to fresh new faces of Puneet Khattar and Eric Duke respectively.
