Six Year Old Alex Lynch – Operation K1 Domination
Six year old Alex Lynch set a K1 Speed Record last week by setting the quickest lap times at all but one K1 Speed Location that offers Kid Kart racing. “Operation K1 Domination” began at one of the latest locations in the Southwest at K1 Speed in Phoenix, Arizona, and made its way west to Southern California to dominate the area locations. Along the way Alex set 3 new overall track records in a kid kart, and broke the 6-year-old record at each location he visited, all in just 7 days!
Alex’s next trip will hopefully be to the K1 Speed in South Florida to attempt to break the lap record in the South East. Congrats to Alex and his accomplishment – look out for this kid at future Challenge GP Race events and Junior/ Teen Challenge GP race events.

K1 Speed at Mazfest
Mazfest returned to Autoclub Raceway this year to a number of Mazda Motorsports and Tuner enthusiasts and K1 Speed was on hand for all the fun. K1 Speed teamed up with Kevin Madsen our K1 Speed Anaheim Facility Manager and of Madsen Motorsports with a large booth presentation and discount coupons throughout the day. Madsen Motorsports gave ride-a-longs throughout the day to a number of people on California Speedways “Roval” which is a combination of the NASCAR Oval and the interior road-coarse of the facility. K1 Speed Santa Clara Gearing up to open Late Summer
K1 Speed indoor kart racing is gearing up to start the races in Santa Clara, CA. After growing successfully nationwide and having many centers throughout Southern California, K1 Speed is pleased to announce its’ 1st Northern California location. K1 Speed Santa Clara will be the Silicon Valley’s first ever electric indoor kart racing center. Featuring 65,000 sq. ft. of space, K1 Speed Santa Clara will be by far the longest single track of all K1 Speed indoor kart racing centers and will have up to 52 karts.
Expecting to open late September of 2011, both junior and adult racers will have the chance to experience the thrill of racing K1 Speed’s entirely new European style designed karts.
