Frequently asked questions.
Q: What should drivers wear?
A: Drivers must wear closed-toed shoes. A head sock and helmet
are also required and will be provided to you.
Q: Can I bring my own helmet?
A: Yes, as long as it is DOT approved or greater with a full
face and a visor or goggles.
Q: How do I get to K1 Speed?
A: Follow the link to locations,
there you can obtain a map and driving locations to the facility
of your choice.
Q: How fast do your karts go?
A: Our Karts are the fastest in the
industry. Each has a 20hp electric motor that reaches speeds up
to 45 m.p.h.
Q: What type of training do customers go through?
A: Each racer will go through a mandatory safety briefing on
the track rules and karts. The briefing will show the purpose and
meaning of each flag, safety signs and also
how to operate the kart.
Q: Why would corporations be interested in your facility?
A: Corporations are always looking for exciting team-building
events and meeting venues. We have designed team-building packages
for all skill levels and all meeting rooms come with high-speed
wireless internet, soundproof rooms and 110" projection screens
complete with outputs for your laptop. Catering
can also be provided on request.
Q: Do you need experience to race the karts?
A: No racing experience is required. Each driver will be briefed
on track safety track rules including flags, signs and kart operation.
Q: What is the age requirement and height restrictions for racers?
A: All racers must be at least 4ft 11 inches tall to race. All
racers should be under 7' and 300 lbs.
Q: Do I need to make a reservation?
A: For groups of 8 or more it is highly recommended that you
book a group event; You will not
have to wait for track time and you will only have to race with
the people in your group. Otherwise anyone can just "Arrive
and Drive" and will be scheduled on a first come first serve
basis. No reservation required.
