The Best Indoor Go-Kart Racing in Greater Boston!

If you’re visiting Boston, take a break from visiting historic U.S. sites, and come in for some revolutionary go-karting in the New England area! Our K1 Speed Boston location is located in Wilmington in the Greater Boston Area, and is located near the neighborhoods of Reading, Wakefield, Stoneham, Burlington and Woburn. At K1 Speed, Boston, we have not just one, but two tracks for you to master! Our two meeting rooms are capable of hosting between 40-70 people, and are perfect for company functions, corporate events, or special occasions. While not racing, enjoy our video games and air hockey table, or refuel at our Pit Stop Café which offers an assortment of snacks and refreshments. Our authentic racing memorabilia on display through the facility adds an almost museum-like experience to your day. So, whether you’re planning a birthday party for your child, corporate event, or needing a new destination for a team building exercise in the Boston area, look no further than K1 Speed, Boston!

The Best Karting in New England

K1 Speed is America’s largest karting company because we strive for excellence in everything that we do. We are committed to providing a genuine and thrilling racing experience that will satisfy the novice and professional alike. We assure you that once you get a taste of the K1 experience, you’ll be hooked.

But what makes indoor go-kart racing at K1 so special? Find out for yourself! We encourage you to explore all that K1 Speed Boston has to offer.

    Our Karts

Unlike most go-kart tracks, which use lawn mower-powered machines, our karts are fully electric. This not only makes for a unique driving experience, but also allows K1 Speed to lower its environmental footprint and provide our customers with a clean and inviting atmosphere (literally and figuratively). If you’ve never driven an electric kart before, you’re in for a treat. We promise, you won’t be disappointed with the performance! In fact, with maximum torque available from zero RPM, our karts shoot out of corners like rockets!

    Our Tracks

K1 Speed Boston, like every K1 Speed location, features indoor go-kart racing. Though in Southern California, where K1 Speed was founded, such a precaution may not be strictly necessary, in New England, the benefits are self-evident! With our indoor race tracks, we are able to offer racing year-round, regardless of whether it’s raining, snowing, or even hailing! If you feel the need for speed, we’re here to satisfy that urge! But our locations are much more than simple go-kart tracks. Upon walking through our doors, you’ll find a spacious lobby, leather couches, extensive collection of authentic racing memorabilia, and a snack bar.

    Our Race Packages

Our most popular option with racers, our Arrive & Drive package, allows individuals to come in any day of the week, any time of day, and sign up for a race – no reservation necessary. However, we can accommodate large groups looking to book a private event as well. If you have a party of eight or more people, we can help you plan a kid’s birthday party, teen’s birthday party, adult birthday, bachelor partycorporate function, or team building event. Whichever it is, we have a package that suits your needs! We even have private meeting rooms available should you want someplace to relax during your heats. To book a race package for your event, contact K1 Speed today.

    Race Today!

For a thrilling experience that you won’t soon forget, head out to K1 Speed Boston today for indoor go-kart racing! Located in Wilmington, MA, our location is a short drive from Burlington MallFaneuil Hall Marketplace  or pretty much everywhere in the greater Boston metropolitan area. Once you hit the track and race at speeds approaching 45mph in near silence, you’ll be a believer!

The carts should have rear viewing mirrors. It was my first time on the track. I was constantly twisting my head looking back . I think some sort of rear view would make it even more enjoyable and realistic to formula racing. It's been over 60 years since I had my own Go-Kart and I found that this brought back some good old memories. I took it easy to get to know the feel of the machine and found they are quite nice, hold the road and are pretty quick! They also have a nice sound. I thought I would miss the old sound of the gas and oil powered 2 stroke engine, I did not. Thanks, Alvan.

Pretty great. The folks running the front desk and track were all friendly and welcoming. Got rammed a few times by some youngsters but it's part of the game. Went by myself to scope it out, would 100% encourage you to bring at least a friend or two for some competitive runs. OR find the fastest guys there, ask the folks running the track nicely if you can go out with them, and try to follow their line. Most racers are psyched to play some cat-and-mouse. Managed to get 3 races in and brought my time down into the low 23's for my best lap. Sweating pretty good by the end of Race 2. Considering joining the monthly GP league for something to do. Depends on how friendly those folks are. Will report back.EDIT: League night is fun, good vibes. The regulars will help you find a line on non-competition nights. This location is struggling for parts and maintenance for the adult karts, which kind of makes it "luck of the draw" as much as anything for how well your kart will handle. IMHO it's part of the game, if you want perfection every time then join a league where you own and maintain your own kart. I will say that just the maintenance issues can cause you to burn minutes on the track that you cannot make up. Each race on non-league nights is slotted for (i believe) 7 minutes. If a kart breaks (which is often) and needs replacement, the clock keeps ticking. That can be a kick in the pants when you pay $20/race. The staff do the best they can to keep it moving. Pro tip: your kart isn't "stalling," you are resting your foot on the brake pedal whether you know it or not. if you don't have shin splints by the end of a race from holding your left leg OFF the pedal, you aren't doin it right. One opportunity for improvement: would be great to have a cleaner bathroom. Nothing crazy, just a regular sweep every hour or so on shift.

We were there for a group event and really loved it. It is a long way from the old gas go-carts that I grew up with. It is quiet and you don’t come out smelling like exhaust or gasoline. The staff was excellent. They were super helpful throughout our time there. The pizzas were pretty good.It is a little hard to find as it is tucked up behind the ups distribution center and can be hard to see behind the semi trucks.

My GO-TO local track, excellent track with very little to complain about when it comes to the karts. Oldest track near Boston means it's tried and tested.I have been to all three "local" karting places; Supercharged, K1 and Apex. Each having there own charm, I still choose K1 almost every time.Apex has a wonky track and de-tuned karts but is a riot if the group is small or experienced. Supercharged has annoying fake noise karts that don't match the track at all. K1 is down right raw and technical.

Place is great! It’s clean, the staff is helpful, and the track itself along with the arcade is super fun! This review is on behalf of my 6yo son and his experience on the Junior track.
