K1 Speed’s 100+ locations and two K1 Circuit locations are full of employees who represent what it means to be part of the K1 family. For their work these past few months, we recognize five stand-out K1 employees.
Natalia Cano
K1 CIRCUIT WINCHESTER
Growing up in the Imperial Beach area of San Diego, Natalia joined the team at K1 Circuit this past January while looking for a change of pace. Her exceptional work ethic and dedication to making everyone feel included quickly caught the attention of management, leading to this nomination. Although she was previously more of a traditional sports fan, working at the track has opened her eyes to the massive world of racing. She is driven by a desire to ensure every guest and colleague feels cared for, learning from past negative work environments to create a positive, welcoming experience.
Outside of work, Natalia is completing her kinesiology major with plans to pursue a career in physical therapy. She is a massive animal lover who comes from a large family, and she currently shares her home with five dogs and five cats. An avid reader, her bookshelf is filled with sci-fi and fantasy, as well as classic literature by Jane Austen. Whenever she has free time, she embraces the outdoors by hiking, paddleboarding, and riding jet skis. In the next few years, she hopes to finish her degree and travel more, including a future trip to explore the waterfalls and greenery of Oregon.
Anthony Martinez
BURBANK
Growing up in North Hollywood, Anthony was introduced to the world of racing directly through K1 Speed. At 18 years old, he secured his job by asking his neighbor, a K1 Speed manager, for an opportunity. Since that conversation two and a half years ago, Anthony has become a dedicated team member. Currently based at our Burbank location, Anthony shines through his exceptional ability to connect with guests. He is celebrated for his engaging, natural approach to customer service, ensuring every racer has a memorable experience. Having been introduced to racing through K1 himself, he is able to genuinely share in the excitement felt by guests.
Away from the track, Anthony maintains a demanding schedule, entering his senior year of college. Studying biology on a pre-med track, he is focused on his ultimate career goal of becoming a doctor. When he is not focused on his coursework, he stays active by going to the gym and playing volleyball, a sport he has actively enjoyed for over five years. Known among friends as a highly social person, Anthony credits his strong life direction and good decision-making to his ultimate role model: his mother. In his free time, Anthony often visits other K1 Speed tracks in Southern California.
Anetta Jastrzebski
BUFFALO GROVE
A lifelong Chicago resident and self-proclaimed gearhead, Anetta brings a deep passion for automotive culture to her role at K1 Speed. Growing up with a mechanic father, she spent her childhood in the garage and has since worked on numerous personal vehicles, including rebuilding a Mazda RX-8 and an Evo 7 Impreza.
Since joining the team just a short time ago, Anetta has made a significant impact. Leveraging her previous management background, she supports food and beverage operations while actively maintaining the bar and jumping in to assist the team whenever needed. Her leadership is driven by a strong sense of teamwork and a core belief that simple kindness can completely turn a person’s day around. Outside of work, Anetta is a dedicated mother who enjoys park days with her children, spending time with friends, and building LEGO sets — she and her husband are currently completing a massive Millennium Falcon.
Daniel Murillo Avila
BURBANK
Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Daniel brings a year and a half of experience and a passion for learning to his role at K1 Speed. Initially introduced to the world of indoor karting by his fiancé’s younger brother, Daniel joined the team looking for a new opportunity and quickly found his place at the center.
Drawing from his previous experience working at a nonprofit organization, the 31-year-old finds genuine fulfillment in helping others succeed. He thrives on coaching regular customers, sharing technical tips on racing lines and tire grip to help them consistently improve their lap times. Notably, Daniel has spent many laps coaching Kai Massey, the third-place K1RS points-finisher in 2025. An avid motorsport and soccer enthusiast, Daniel closely follows Formula 1 and is a massive supporter of Arsenal. When he is not at the track or cheering on his favorite team, he stays active by running and is currently navigating the application process to become a police officer.
Christian Martinez
WEST NYACK
Christian, a 24-year-old team member at the West Nyack location, has been a dedicated presence since joining the center during the pandemic. Starting his tenure when the facility operated as an Autobahn Indoor Speedway, he has transitioned into the K1 Speed family. His strong work ethic and team-first mentality earned him a spotlight nomination from his general manager. Christian thrives on supporting his colleagues and ensuring customers feel welcome, noting that the staff operates like a true family. Currently, he is focused on developing his management and customer service skills to further his professional growth.
Outside of the center, Christian is highly disciplined. After competing in mixed martial arts for a decade, he now dedicates up to two hours a day, six days a week, to weightlifting. To unwind and maintain mental clarity, he shoots pool with friends on Thursday nights. Ultimately, Christian plans to translate his lifelong passion for serving others into a career in law enforcement or the military.
