Important Information

Every Racer Must Be Registered, Checked-In & Have a Signed Waiver

All racers must be registered with K1 Speed and check in and sign our waiver via our registration link above. You can check in at any time before the event.

Waivers for K1 Circuit will be signed when racers check in online.

Each Racer Must Have a Signed Entry Form on File

Each racer will be required to have a signed entry form on file with us. Parents need to sign for juniors and teens, and adults can sign for themselves. The entry form can be filled out onsite at the time of the event – we have uploaded the document to this page so you can review the form in advance.

K1 Circuit is CASHLESS – Bring Your Cards, Not Cash!

K1 Circuit is a cashless facility. In other words, we won’t accept cash! This means you’ll need to bring your credit card or debit card with you in order to pay for your race fees, food and beverages, or merchandise. So don’t forget your plastic!

K1 Circuit is a Smoke-Free Facility

K1 Circuit is a smoke-free facility, and we prohibit smoking or vaping of any kind on the premises. If you must smoke or vape, then please do so outside at Wild West Social, our neighbor next door.

Championship FAQs

Can I Join My Racer in the Pits (Teens and Adults)?

Now that our main building and grandstands are open for spectators, most guests will no longer be allowed in the K1 Circuit pit area. Each racer can only have one person (parent, partner, friend, coach, etc.) join them in the pits with a purchased pit pass ($22). Again, there is no limit to how many guests can come and watch from our public spaces – there is only a limit for the pit area.

Please send the full name and email address of your designated pit pass holder to [email protected].

Juniors: Since the Junior event will be held in a parking lot on a similar scale to K1 Speed, guests will not be allowed in the pit area. However, on the sidelines, you will be closer to your racer than at the K1 Circuit track.

Is there a live stream for this event?

Yes! We will have a live stream on the days of the events! Coverage will be produced by the acclaimed Kart Chaser, who has tons of experience live-streaming events for professional karting events across the country, and covered last year’s championship events. While teens and adults will have guaranteed coverage, we will try our best to provide the same for our junior event.

Can I use a GoPro to record my races?

Yes! You may use your GoPro to record your championship races at K1 Circuit. You’ll just need to sign our GoPro waiver inside the pit area to receive a wristband.

What can’t I bring?

The following items are prohibited from K1 Circuit:

  • Outside Beverages
  • Outside Food
  • Coolers
  • Chairs (the main building is open, and we have a 300-person grandstand now available!)
  • Glass or Ceramic: Any type of glass or ceramic
  • Illegal Substances
  • Weapons (knives, guns, mace, stun guns)
  • Bikes, skateboards, scooters, hoverboards, skates and rollerblades
  • Powered scooters and bikes.
  • Fireworks
  • No pets are allowed except service animals; emotional support animals are not allowed. Service animals that perform an active function are allowed on K1 Circuit grounds and can go wherever their handler is credentialed
  • K1 Circuit is a cashless business: only credit or debit cards are accepted.
  • Drones or RC aircraft
  • Laser pointers
  • Projectiles: Frisbees, balloons, beach balls, or any other projectile
  • Aerosol cans: With the exception of sunscreen, sun block, hand sanitizer, and bug spray

Can I smoke or vape at K1 Circuit?

K1 Circuit is strictly a smoke-free facility, which means smoking or vaping of any kind is prohibited anywhere on site. If you must smoke or vape, you may do so outdoors at Wild West Social, located next door.

Can I race/visit K1 Circuit before the event?

Yes, championship racers may visit K1 Circuit before the event and participate in Arrive & Drive racing. Please note: the K1 Circuit track layout for Arrive & Drive will differ slightly from the layout used for the Teen / Adult National and World Championships.

Junior racers may visit the track on Friday for Arrive & Drive practice.

Teens & Adults: Please inform our cashier upon arrival that you are a K1 Speed championship racer. This way, our cashiers will issue you a Silver License at the price of a Bronze License, so you can immediately race at the speeds you will race during the event.

Where should I stay?

K1 Circuit is located in Winchester, CA: 32240 Grand Ave, Winchester, CA 92596. While there aren’t many motel or hotel accommodations directly near the track, there are plenty of choices in Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, and Hemet, which are each about half an hour or less away.

Where is the nearest airport?

The nearest airport is Ontario International Airport in Ontario, CA, roughly 60 miles from K1 Circuit. Alternatively, you can fly into John Wayne Airport in Orange County (72 miles away), or San Diego Airport (82 miles away).

What do racers need to wear? Do I need to bring my own race gear?

There are some items you will need to race at K1 Circuit:

Teens & Adults: Gloves are required. These can be your typical run-of-the-mill work/mechanic gloves that are very affordable (under $10) from any home improvement store or online if you don’t have or don’t want to get actual karting/racing gloves.

Closed-Toe Shoes and Socks are required. Just like at K1 Speed, you need to wear closed-toe shoes with socks at K1 Circuit.

Suits & Helmets: If you don’t own a karting suit or an appropriate helmet, we’ll have some available for use. However, we strongly encourage everyone to bring their own gear if they have it. After all, things are going to get sweaty out there! Suits are not required for the junior racers.

If you bring your own helmet, it will only need to be DOT certified. Obviously, if you have a higher certification than DOT (for example Snell SA or K), you’re more than covered. Helmets will need to have full face protection and visors – not goggles!

If you want to bring your own suit, karting suits with Cordura or other abrasion-resistant materials are requiredNot fire suits as they offer little to no protection from abrasion.

Again, aside from gloves, we will have helmets and suits at the track if you don’t own any. You just might want to sort out affordable options for your own use if you don’t want to share! K1 RaceGear and Freem are great choices if you’re looking to purchase your own gear. Gloves are also available to purchase onsite at K1 Circuit.

Use promo code “K1SWC20!” to save 20% off K1 RaceGear at k1racegear.com or promo code “FREEMK1WC15” to save 15% off Freem at freemracing.us. These are exclusive promo codes just for you racers!

Optional gear (neck protection, rib protectors, etc.) can be used, but is not required.

Also, long hair must be tied up and tucked into your suit prior to racing.

Will Ballast Be Used at K1 Circuit?

No, just like at K1 Speed, ballast will not be used at K1 Circuit.

Will Food & Drink Be Provided?

Yes, we will have food and beverages for sale at K1 Circuit. Because of this, we do not allow outside food and beverages to be brought in.

This goes without saying, but if any racer is suspected of consuming alcoholic beverages or is showing any signs of impairment during the event, they will not be permitted to race and will be disqualified.

Why are the US E-Karting Championship and World E-Karting Championships Occurring on the Same Day?

In the interest of producing a bigger attendance for our World Championship finals and making it easier for guests/racers to attend both the US and World Championship events, we have decided to host them on the same day. Therefore, the World Championships will immediately follow the US Championships for all divisions (Junior, Teen & Adult).
