The K1 Speed Mardi Gras Special
All-day on Tuesday, February 16, K1 Speed is offering two races for just $35. In addition, all beer and wine at participating locations will be half-off their usual prices.
Now, we know you’re going to want to take advantage of our drink special, but please remember, drinking BEFORE racing is strictly prohibited at K1. So, make sure you get all your racing in first, then celebrate your karting performance over a cold one with friends afterwards.
What is Mardi Gras and When Does it Occur?
Also known as “Fat Tuesday”, Mardi Gras is the name given to the events of the Carnival celebration. It occurs on or after the Epiphany (Three Kings Day) and ends the day before Ash Wednesday. In 2021, this is taking place on February 16.
What Is Celebrated During Mardi Gras?
What is actually celebrated during Mardi Gras? Eating! This is pretty much a time to indulge in all the rich foods your stomach desires (hence the English translation of “Fat Tuesday”) before the lean days of Lent take place from Ash Wednesday to Easter.
