K1 Speed is known worldwide for its upscale indoor go kart racing experience. Our go karts are 100% electric, so you won’t breathe in exhaust while racing nor reek of gas when you leave.

And wait until you try our Italian karts. These aren’t like those huge, slow, heavy and dirty “go karts” used at family fun centers like mini golf joints. Our karts are small, light, nimble and the fastest in the industry – approaching speeds of up to 45mph in a matter of seconds. It’s a full-on adrenaline rush that’s sure to produce nothing but smiles and laughter from all of your racers.

When you rent one of our tracks, you can customize your race format. Use the track as an open time trial session and compete for best lap time. Or create your own miniature grand prix experience with sessions for practice, qualifying and a final race for position. The choice is yours.

K1 Speed Buffalo Grove’s Track 1 is the more technical track of the two tracks, offering a challenge for both novice and experienced racers*. You’ll have to take a variety of approaches to these turns in order to minimize your track time. Perfect for die-hard racing fans.

Track 2 is perfect for all skill levels and both junior and adult karts. This track may not be as complex as Track 1, but it is certainly faster! If you’re group’s just looking for a casual, fun time this track is a good choice.

K1 Speed Buffalo Grove has five different rooms you can rent by the hour as well. These are perfect to use as cool-down rooms, a place to enjoy meals and drinks, or just a spot to hang out away from the general public.

Track rentals means lots of racing. And lots of racing means hungry racers. Make sure you add some catering to your private track day! Our kitchen can produce a wide variety of food options for your time at the track: from pizzas, wings, and deli platters for casual events, to appetizers, BBQ, pastas, steaks, and seafood for more formal occasions. And the best part about it coming from our kitchen is that it’ll be fresh, hot, and on time! Need more food? That can be arranged right then as well.

Maybe some of your guests are more of the timid type, and don’t dream of becoming the next Formula One champion. Well, they can still have plenty of laughs and fun too. Our gaming area is stocked with something for everyone.

We’ve got plenty of games, from new hits to updated classics. We’ve got arcade video games, pool tables, air hockey and basketball hoops and prize machines for your guests to play.
