Hi, Patricia! Yes, 14-year-olds love racing at K1 Speed! He will need to have a K1 Speed license to race. Don’t worry, no test is required! It only costs $8.50 (at most locations) and includes a headsock, a free race during the week of his birthday, 10% off apparel and accessories, and free use of our helmets. A great gift idea would be either our Collectible Tin bundle (available at k1brand.com) or a Speedpass at the location you think he’d want to go. Both includes races, the license, and a t-shirt! Or give him a gift card starting at $50 – that will be enough to cover at least one race and the license. Hope this helps!
