K1 Speed Puerto Rico Now Open!
Puerto Ricans are about to get their first taste of K1 Speed, when our latest center opens on Saturday, July 21! This marks K1 Speed’s first location on the island, and residents there are going to love what millions of racers have enjoyed since 2003.
The 40,000-sq. ft. facility is located within Outlet Mall 66 in the municipality of Canóvanas and will feature the best karting to be found in the Caribbean.
The single-track venue will include the latest all-electric go-karts imported from Italy, with the adult karts capable of achieving speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. The center will also house the latest junior electric karts that will allow children who are 48” or taller, the opportunity to experience indoor go-karting at speeds of around 20 miles per hour. The electric karts are superior to their gas-powered counterparts in nearly every way: they are quieter, produce zero noxious fumes, and provides instant power without lag.
The track has been professionally designed for maximum overtaking opportunities and will feature PROTEX barriers to maintain state-of-the-art safety for racers.
Visitors to K1 Speed, Puerto Rico will be treated to a state-of-the-art venue complete with a museum-worthy collection of authentic racing memorabilia, and plush leather sofas.
When not racing, there’ll be plenty to do at the venue: guests can enjoy CXC racing simulators, bowling, and other activities. K1 Speed Puerto Rico will not only be the biggest karting attraction, but one of the most popular entertainment venues on the island when it opens its doors this week.
This also means that Puerto Rico now joins Mexico, China, South Korea, and Canada as another flag flying in our international competition known as the K1 Speed World Championship. Racers on the island will be hitting the track hard to accumulate the 4,000 K1RS points necessary for qualification and to have the chance to represent the commonwealth.
