Second International Center Opens Today
K1 Speed, America’s largest karting company, opens second international location in Mexico City, Mexico.
Irvine, CA September 9, 2016 – After opening the first international location this past fall in Queretaro, we are proud to announce a new facility that is now open in Santa Fe, Mexico. This is perhaps is only fitting, as the indoor go-kart racing at K1 Speed Mexico City is second to none.
Indoor Karting in Mexico City
Located in Santa Fe, home to one of Mexico City’s largest shopping malls, the facility is right in the heart of the action. The center carries on the proud K1 Speed tradition of offering individuals the opportunity to race 100-percent electric go-karts on professionally designed indoor race tracks. Visitors should expect a spacious lounge area, meeting spaces and party room, a fully stocked snack bar, a museum-quality collection of authentic racing memorabilia, and various arcade games and pool tables.
K1 Speed’s Newest Track
With the opening of K1 Speed in Santa Fe, this brings the total to two international centers. Currently there are 30 locations in the United States with several more opening by year end. With Mexico’s rich motorsport heritage – the country has hosted the 6 Hour of Mexico to Formula One – it was only fitting to open a second international location. The company looks forward to bringing the thrill of indoor karting to the people of Mexico with more locations opening in the near future.
