We have junior karts at K1 Speed Oxford that let little ones (who are at least 48″ tall) experience top speeds of up to 25mph.

The 11-turn track in Michigan is the very first K1 Speed to feature an elevated section that will provide you with an extra dose of adrenaline while racing with friends and family. And our state-of-the-art LED lighting that lines the track transforms your typical track day into something futuristic and otherworldly.

Where is K1 Speed located in Michigan?
K1 Speed Oxford is located inside the Legacy 925 entertainment complex and can be found about 30 miles from Flint and Sterling Heights, around an hour from downtown Detroit, 15 minutes from Lake Orion, and a short 20-minute drive down M-24 from Lapeer.
We’re also close to Troy, Auburn Hills, Rochester, and Rochester Hills.
Indoor Go Kart Racing – The K1 Speed Difference

First off, every one of our locations, located throughout the United States from Southern California to Southern Florida, is entirely self-contained. Our indoor go-kart racing locations, including our Michigan location, allow individuals to race every day of the year, regardless of weather. The other difference that sets K1 Speed apart from the competition, and the feature that we have grown and built our reputation on, is our use of 100-percent, all-electric karts. Forget about the lawn mower-powered go-karts of your youth. Our European-style electric karts are high-performance machines, producing tremendous torque and horsepower from advanced electric motors. These zero-emission karts outperform their gas-powered counterparts while being better for the environment, quieter, and arguably, easier to drive. With our karts, you don’t have to worry about stalling the engine or dropping out of the power band in a tight corner – our electric motors produce maximum torque at all speeds! Great track and fast electric karts. Went on a Tuesday night when it wasn’t busy, bought the 2 hour package and enjoyed several races within the allotted time. They have axe throwing and VR games. Fun place to enjoy karting and other activities.

Came here for a birthday party. Definitely better than CJ Barrymore’s go-karts since this place has smaller groups and faster karts. They also have a score chart with your best lap times and different stats involving your race along with the best lap time in your group which makes it fun for the competitive groups.

We had a team outing here.It was super fun. Got whiplash from being hit.The only thing I think i don't like is how overly priced everything is.Might go again if the team likes it enough

This is hands down the best go-karting place I have ever been to... My 8-year-old daughter and I have been going for the last 6 to 7 weeks straight. Endless fun, we spend all Saturday or Sunday there every weekend. Adam the manager is one of the coolest guys I've ever met, he treats us like family and always makes us feel more than welcome and gives us good reason to come back and see him every weekend. Every week I give my daughter a list of different adventures we can go on and she's up for any adventure as long as we still can make it to k1 so she can see all her friends there (the super friendly employees, every last one of them) this place rescued me from the trampoline parks, girl dads this place may just be a dream come true for you like it was me!

Such a great place to hang out on a rainy day or an option for birthday parties!! The kids love this place from ages 6-18 (must be 48 inches tall.) Even as adults we had a great time racing the kids and they have adult carts which could be fun for a work outing idea. The carts go faster than the ones in Shelby Twnshp, which is great for older kids. Highly recommend. Staff are fun and helpful!

I’ve had birthday parties for both of my boys at K1 Speed And both groups had a blast. Adam was my contact for both parties. He is responsive and incredibly easy to work with. The staff is professional and the venue is kept super clean.

The track was tons of fun with a couple of straight aways and lots of turns. The staff was easygoing, which was great. My only wish was that the helmets had visors. By the third race my eyes were pretty dry.

Went for my birthday. first time experience. Overall, it's pretty cool. Go karts goes pretty fast. I'd say I paid for 3 race. I think it's pretty worth. Now, for people who doesn't read anything on the agreement or waiver, I must warn. there's a lot of bumping or driving into you( or go-kart). it's pretty rough. nonetheless, I still have fun. Just won't be riding again. it's a little too rough for my taste.

We came from Indiana for our daughter’s birthday and just happened to stop by. She was overwhelmed at first and didn’t want to do it until the staff took their time to show her how everything works, let her sit in a car and get comfortable. Eventually she decided she was ready to race (after playing laser tag and jumping next store) and not only did she win, she talked smack the whole time… The entire experience was due to the entire staff helping.I know I spoke to Alina on the phone but there were two more employees that really helped- a younger female that let her sit in the kart and calmed her down and a tall, no tattoos, (Scott?) - I didn’t get their names-, who ran the registration and payment part.We originally flew to Michigan for a rock concert (her request) and a few other things -(it was her 7th birthday and first time flying and the pilot let her sit in the cockpit afterwords) but of all the the things we did over the weekend she said her most favorite part was the K1 speed racing.Yes the go karts were fun, but the real reason was how the employees treated her and looked out for her.They went out of their way to make some accommodations for her and it’s now 3 days later and she still won’t stop talking about it.The irony is there’s a K1 not that far from where we live.If you are the owner or regional manager, I would suggest taking note how the 3 individuals in particular helped my daughter.They should recognize us from the pictures put up. We came in Saturday Nov 1st around 3pm-3:30pm.They are the good standard of how you want your business to run.I would consider interviewing them and take these considerations into account when job advancement opportunities arise- especially with the tall, in shape, fit build, brown hair, guy and the younger female who let her sit in the kart and calmed her down- one on one.If all your locations run the way this one does your business will explode and I hope you take that into consideration.5 stars.Thanks

This is hands down the nicest, cleanest and best junior track you can find in mid Michigan where 9-11 year olds can drive the go kart themselves. The kids had a blast & we went right when they opened on a Thursday so they weren’t too busy.

This was a great place to enjoy with my brother, all though the tickets were a bit over decently priced, it still is worth, you would never wanna stop driving so if you think you wanna do 50 laps, you are gonna enjoy and finish those 50 laps because it's so addicting, the place had great cleanliness, safety was also a #1 thing over at the track so it definitely was safe, it also was a tad bit cold but it would not put any effect on you, the go karts it's self were great, it had speed, it also was easy to drive but it was also a bit of work to get grip to not under steer or oversteer, the track was also spotless so it was smooth racings, if you are bored, I would defitnetly go here again and again and again

Billy, Elena, and the guys doing the cars are awesome. We went there Saturday night with scouts and had a blast. My daughter got frightened and got off the ride (I couldn't ride). They all made sure she was OK and checked in through the night. Billy offered to have us to come back Sunday and have my daughter try it again and she is hooked. Thank you for all you do to make daughter happy!! One happy mom here!!

Likely the best Go karting track in the Detroit Metro! Solid karts and a great track layout. The only slight issues I have had: karts running out of battery and getting them to consistently keep the karts at top level. Wish they would develop a licensing system where they keep track of the ability to run at full speed/ level 4 and send us out with only level 4 people
